Post Date :   9/29/2005 Section Comments Section :   2.2.5.2.3 Page no. :   2-8 Line no.:   Comment :   For the requirement "The system shall provide a capability for a jurisdiction to designate critical status messages", allowing jurisdictions to designate, in the system, the criticality of the status messages is not a good idea.  Interpretation of a status message in the audit log will be difficult if the set of messages are not standardized throughout installations of the voting system. Proposed change: Remove the following language from this requirement, "The system shall provide a capability for a jurisdiction to designate critical status messages."
