This page serves as the target of another page: sample.asis, demonstrating how to send arbitrary HTTP headers (in this case a redirection) by just putting them "as is" in a web page.
It also demonstrates a cgi-bin counter: Visitors: . I.e. you are the visitor.
This page also demonstrates the XBitHack full
Apache web server configuration option. Even though it has
dynamic content (server-side includes), the "last-modified"
header is set. This allows web browsers and proxy agents to
display pages more quickly and efficiently because they can keep
the content cached in an intelligent way. You can verify this
by using, e.g., the Netscape "View/Page Info" menu item, and
looking at the Last Modified info.
To cause this, the .htaccess file in the local directory contains the line
XBitHack fulland this file has the executable bits set for group and owner via the "chmod go+x" command. See Module mod_include for more details.
